Venetia Jacqueline Bobbitt's Obituary
Venetia Jacqueline Clatterbuck Bobbitt (Jackie), 84 of Culpeper, passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was born September 18, 1940, to the late Ernest B. and Venetia S. Clatterbuck.
She is survived by three children, Lisa Coates, Kimberly Burke, and Jeffrey Bobbitt. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, David Clore, Johnathon Bobbitt-Miller (Blair), Christopher Matthew Coates (Brittany), Phillip Burke, Jr. (Danielle), Michael Coates (Kaylor), Alexander Burke (Kaylyn), and Jacqueline Ryder (Adam); thirteen great-grandchildren; one great, great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Bobbitt; one son, Robert Bobbitt, Jr.; two sons-in-law, Joseph Coates and Phillip Burke; siblings, Pete Clatterbuck (Claudine), Ann Cartee (Jake), and Kip Clatterbuck; in-laws John Bobbitt (Mildred); sister-in-law, Edith Martin (Emmett); one nephew, Timothy Martin (Donna); and one great nephew, Joshua Deane.
She was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church and the Salem Volunteer Fire Department (Ladies Auxiliary). You could always count on seeing her smile in a Grocery Deli, feeding her family and friends, and in her flower beds. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025, at Fairview Cemetery. Fellowship will follow at Salem Volunteer Fire Department, 13428 Scotts Mill Road, Culpeper, VA. If you wish to make memorial contributions, you may donate to the Salem Fire Department in Venetia’s name.
