Troy Melvin Moore Jr.'s Obituary
Troy “Snack” Melvin Moore, Jr., 73, of Richardsville, died Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at his home. He was born November 25, 1950 in Manassas to the late Marie and Troy Moore, Sr.
Troy was a beloved and hardworking family man.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Virginia “Pam” Moore; his children, Becky Phipps (Jerry), Angie Garland (Donnie), Jeny Vandevender, and Troy “TJ” Moore (Erica); four siblings, Nancy Morgan (Carl), Jane Dunbar (Jack), Frank Moore (Carolyn), and Glenn Moore; ten grandchildren, Miranda Phipps, Aaron Garland, Jr., Zackery Phipps, Trent Garland, Erica Garcia-Moore (Laura), Katelyn Moore, Alexandra Elliott, Clark Vandevender, Ryan Moore, and Hayden Moore; several great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews to whom he was a father figure.
In addition to his parents, Troy is preceded in death by his in-laws, George and Iva Forshee; and four siblings, Martha Miles, Alice Griffin, Sallie Green, and Jesse Moore.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Troy’s memory to the Richardsville Volunteer Fire Dept., 29361 Eleys Ford Road, Richardsville, Virginia 22736.
