Tommie Eugene Gray Jr.'s Obituary
Tommie Eugene Gray, Jr. (Tom), 50 of Culpeper went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at Culpeper Medical Center. Tom was born February 19, 1970 in Culpeper to the late Mr. Tommie Eugene Gray, Sr. and Mrs. Betty Ann Gray.
Tom attended Culpeper County Public Schools, including Culpeper County High School. Tom started his career in the construction industry and was employed as a construction worker for many years until becoming sick.
Tom had many interests, which included a love of music. He was a talented drummer and enjoyed playing drums for his church. He was also an avid Washington Football team fan.
Tom was loved by many. He was a one-of-a-kind son, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. He loved life and loved to joke around. Tom will always be remembered, loved, and greatly missed by his family, friends, and so many others.
Tom faced many health challenges over the recent years. However, his spirit was always high, he was always positive and grateful.
Left to mourn and cherish his memories are 11 children: Tommie Gray III (TJ), Derrick Gray, and Marcus Gray of Culpeper, VA, Nathaniel Haynes, Brandon Gray, Brittany Gray, Rachelle Gray, Alicia Gray, Darrius Gray, Joshua Haynes of Spotsylvania, VA, and Issiah Gray of Culpeper, VA. Three siblings: Alvin Colbert of Phoenix, AZ., Rachel Gray (Sylvester) of Culpeper, VA., and Kimberly Gray (Mortie) of Locust Grove, VA. Three grandchildren: Marious and Mariyah Gray of Madison, VA, and Mason Gray of Culpeper, VA. Also left to mourn and cherish his memories are a host of very special aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 from 11 to 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA. A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. with Reverend Ernest Thompson officiating. Due to COVID-19 mandates, masks are required to enter the building.
