Tina Leavy's Obituary
Merrie Christine “Tina” Leavy, of Fredericksburg, passed away on March 26, 2021 after a long battle with Myotonic Dystrophy. She was 60 years old, and will be sorely missed.
Tina, the youngest of nine children, was born in Kansas City, MO on December 25, 1960, to Jayne and Edward Morgan. Fredericksburg was her home the past 31 years where she worked as an EKG Technician at Mary Washington Hospital and actively served as a member of the Spotsylvania and Chancellor rescue squads as a paramedic.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Stephen Leavy, her children, Tammy Vargas (Richard), Debra Leavy, Andrew Leavy, and Matthew Leavy; a grandson Michael Vargas; and her siblings, Jayne Saighman, Kathy Euston, Pat Drake, Michele Carrigan, Morgan C Pfeiffer, and Nancy Dockens.
Tina was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Peg Brasch, and a brother, Ted Morgan.
Tina’s family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 5, 2021 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, with a rosary beginning at 7:30 p.m. A memorial mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at St. Jude Catholic Church.
