Timothy E. Brooks' Obituary
IN LOVING MEMORY
Timothy Edison Brooks departed this life and went home to be with the Most High God on Thursday, November 6, 2025. He was born on March 3, 1957, in Augusta County, Virginia, the fifth of nine children born to the late Oscar Brooks Jr. and Ernestine Victoria Brooks.
Timothy graduated from Stuarts Draft High School and later moved to Stafford, Virginia, where he began his career with Vulcan Materials Company. He dedicated 44 years of faithful service before retiring.
Timothy was united in marriage to the late Joyce Brooks (Bell). To this union, six children were born: Timette, Timothy Jr. (Marianna), Timmyah, Timson, Timara, and Timal. Together, Timothy and Joyce were long-standing members of Hearts Delight Baptist Church in Catlett, Virginia. Their love and devotion to the Most High God were unwavering AND secure.
He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Brooks Jr.; his beloved wife, Joyce Brooks; one sister, Wanda Nash; and two brothers, Elroy Brooks and William Brooks.
Timothy leaves to cherish his memory two brothers, Robert (Pam) of Stafford, VA, and Mack of Virginia; three sisters, Theresa (John) Wallace of Locust Grove, VA, Roberta Ferguson of Pennsylvania, and Gladys Perkins of Virginia; and his lifelong best friend, Lee (Venicia) Woodbridge of Georgia. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, grandchildren, a great-grandchild, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at Heart's Delight Baptist Church, 11229 Brent Town Rd, Catlett, VA 20119.
A funeral service will be at 12:00 pm on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Saint James Baptist Church, 1094 Albemarle Ave., Waynesboro, VA 22980. The family will receive friends one hour prior. Interment will follow
at Steadfast Church Cemetery, 215 China Clay Rd, Stuarts Draft, VA 24477.
Burial will take place on Saturday, November 15, 2025 in Steadfast Church Cemetery, Stuarts Draft, VA.
