Tim Watts' Obituary
Tim Watts, 65, of Fredericksburg, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Sunday, December 29, 2024.
He was born in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey and graduated from Mountain Lakes High School. After graduating, he attended Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio, where he earned his Bachelors in Science degree. There he also met his wife, Karen. Together, they moved to Virginia, eventually settling in the Fredericksburg area, where they raised their three children. He was a great father to his children and his dogs.
Tim was a beloved teacher and coach to many. He was a devoted member of the Christ Episcopal Church, where he served as junior warden for multiple terms. In his free time, Tim loved to root on his Detroit Lions, loved to scuba dive, and Lionel Trains. Tim never found a holiday that he didn’t embrace - decorations, celebrations, he loved it all.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Skip and Polly Watts.
Tim is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen Watts; his children, Amanda Watts, Alex Watts, and Molly Watts; his siblings, Wendy Taylor (Morris Brown) and Matthew Watts; a niece, Amy Taylor (Steve Bedsole); and a great-nephew, Weston Marshall.
