Thomas William Hawkins' Obituary
Thomas William Hawkins, 39, of Culpeper went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 23, 2009 at his residence. He was born on August 14, 1969 in Culpeper, VA to George and Patricia Yowell Hawkins of Culpeper.
Tommy was a wonderful son. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and is now in God’s hands. He will be truly missed by all who knew him. Before his declining health, Tommy took great pride in running with Reva Volunteer Rescue Squad. He enjoyed skating and was a floor guard at the skating rink until he was unable, and collecting baseball and football cards.
In addition to his parents he is survived by his sister, Wanda Hawkins, his nephew, Brandon Grigsby, niece, Brittany Hawkins, his paternal grandmother and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 27, 2009 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701 with Rev. Sandy Martin officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Found and Sons Funeral Chapel.
The family asks, due to Tommy’s giving and generous nature, that all who knew him please do a kind act for someone in his memory.
