Thomas Ronald Unger's Obituary
Thomas Ronald Unger, 69, of Culpeper, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2014 at home surrounded by his family and friends. Born on June 13, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late Albert M. Unger and Cecelia Hardie Unger. His wife, Louisa P. Baumley Unger, preceded him in death. He retired from the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam Veteran but he was a soldier till the day he died.
Tom is survived by four sisters, Carolyn Hejhal, Roberta Demmer and her husband Art, Linda Evans, and Bonnie Unger; three brothers, Robb, Albert, and Daniel Unger; two sons, Ronald J. and Michael J. Unger and his wife Erin of Culpeper; and six grandchildren, Tina L., Darian M., Austin C., Zane T., Maisie E., and Risa G. Unger who loved him dearly; and two best friends, Benjamin and Peggy Buskill.
A viewing will be held Tuesday, December 9, 2014 from 6-8 p.m. and a memorial service will follow on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel in Culpeper, VA, officiated by Pastor Daniel Stevens.
The VFW will honor him at the Culpeper National Cemetery for burial at 12 p.m.
