Thomas Purnell Tromley's Obituary
Thomas Purnell Tromley, 78, of Fredericksburg passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 at his home.
Mr. Tromley served with the U.S. Marine Corps in Korea and was an Engineer with G.E. at NASA for the Gemini and Apollo space programs.
Thomas was born in Salisbury, Maryland.
He is survived by three daughters, Cassandra Davis of Melbourne, FL, Cheryl Tromley of Fredericksburg and Shawn Rice of King George County; three sons, Kip Melchert of Santa Clara, CA, Thomas P. Tromley, Jr. of Melbourne and Jeffrey R. Tromley of Fredericksburg; and seven grandchildren, Aric, Craig and Dena Rice, all of Spotsylvania County and Thomas Tromley III, Michelle, Virginia and Audrey Tromley, all of Melbourne.
A graveside service for Thomas P. Tromley will be held Monday, May 9, 2011 at 11:00 am in Quantico National Cemetery. Mr. Tromley will be interred with his wife who passed away in 1998.
