Thomas E. Perkins' Obituary
Tom Perkins, age 88, of Culpeper passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018. He was born on May 5, 1929 in Kingsport, TN, one of six children born to the late Thomas and Millie Moore Perkins.
Tom was a longtime member of Culpeper United Methodist Church. He served 20 years in the Navy and was a Korean War veteran.
Tom leaves behind four loving children, Donna Ireland Otallah and her husband, John of Culpeper, Jeanne Ireland and her husband, Frank Bossio of Warrenton, Steve Ireland and his wife, Debbie of Beaverdam, and Adam Perkins and his wife, Khin Htwe of Richmond; and his one sibling, Charles Perkins of Bluff City, TN.
Additional survivors include seven grandchildren, Nicole Neugass Otallah, Scott Otallah, Ashley Otallah Borean, Joe Ireland, Kelsie Ireland, Thomas Perkins, and Chris Bossio; and two great granddaughters, Lily Neugass Otallah and Adeline Otallah.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 12:30 p.m. at Culpeper United Methodist Church, 1233 Oaklawn Drive, Culpeper, VA with Rev. Jessica S. Colwell officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A luncheon will be held immediately following the service.
Interment will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Culpeper National Cemetery with military honors provided by Culpeper VFW Post 2524.
