Thomas Mason Collier III's Obituary
Thomas Mason Collier III, 57, of King George County passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017.
He was affectionately known to his family as “Tommy”, and his friends and co-workers as “Tom”. Tommy was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving 6 years and acquiring training in the computer field. He was a mechanic for several years and then had a career as an Information Systems Specialist.
Tommy was a very compassionate guy, had a very tender heart, and was a dedicated and true friend to everyone he knew. He enjoyed playing golf, was a model and R.C. airplane enthusiast, some he built himself. Tommy loved anything baseball and was a dedicated Washington National fans. He also enjoyed connecting with friends through online gaming.
He was an animal lover, but his first real love was for his family.
Tom is survived by his mother, Janet Collier; a sister, Katherine Doyle and husband, Mike; a brother, Curt Collier and his wife, Tanya; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He loved to hear his nieces and nephews stories, talk about their life experiences, watch them grow and progress, and sometimes jokingly chide them.
Tom was preceded in death by his father, Thomas Collier, Jr.
A private graveside service will be held at Quantico National Cemetery.
