Thomas "Pratt" Brown's Obituary
Thomas “Pratt” Brown, 66, of Culpeper died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at his residence. He was born July 24, 1944 in Estes, VA to the late John Moffett Brown, Sr. and Erna Kathleen Guinn Brown.
Pratt loved his family above all else and was a friend to many. As a true outdoorsman, hunting and fishing with family and friends was one of his passions. He was the cook of the family and no one ever left his home hungry or thirsty. He loved gardening but sharing the food with family and friends gave him the most joy. He will be remembered for his easy-going personality and sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Patricia Brown, four children, Michael P. Brown and his fiancée, Michelle of Chesapeake, VA, Tammy Brown Clark and her husband, Mark of Fredericksburg, Pamela E. Jones and her husband, Walter of Barboursville, and Jennifer P. Smoot of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include six grandchildren, Brittany, Kandice and Travis Brown, Katie and Macie Clark and Reid Jones, four siblings, Gwen Casilli of Altadena, CA, Phoebe Compton and her husband, Paul of Culpeper, Nancy Hartmann and her husband, Jack of Culpeper, Walter Brown and his wife, Nancy of Culpeper, VA, his mother and father-in-law, Frances and Chester Davis of Palmyra, VA, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, additional in-laws, friends and close loved ones.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Memory Gardens with Rev. John Farrar officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312 &/or the charity of your choice.
