Theressa Lynn Compton's Obituary
Theressa Lynn Compton, 66, of Culpeper, VA passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026 at her residence. She was born April 27, 1960 in Savannah, Georgia.
Theressa was employed for thirty years at Green’s BP, formerly known as Green’s Amoco. She loved dragonflies and exploring walking trails with her grandkids. She was very selfless – would help anyone, whether she knew you or not. Theressa loved her family and she was crazy about her grandkids and her husband.
Theressa is survived by her husband of nearly thirty-one years, William H. Compton; daughter, Tonya Burns; son, Todd Burns (Meridith); four grandchildren, Kendra Burns, Rowyn Phillips, Christie Burns, and Carter Phillips; siblings, Dorothy Britton, Donna Lahner (Don), David Mabrey, Danny Mabrey, Sherrill Cramer (Steve), Penny Williams (Tom), Mike Mabrey (Valerie), and Joanne Brace; sister-in-law, Tina Mabrey; and a host of extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Ira Mabrey and Thelma Baldridge Mabrey and two brothers, John Brace, Jr., and Pat Mabrey.
A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
