Thelma Ruth Hawkins' Obituary
Thelma Ruth Hawkins, 73 of Culpeper passed from this life on Sunday, June 10, 2012 at her home. She was born October 12, 1938 in Rappahannock County to the late Raymond and Sallie Hawkins.
Thelma was a past member of the Five Forks Baptist Church in Woodville and Bible Baptist Church in Culpeper. She enjoyed music, was an excellent cook and was also a registered Nurse for nearly 50 years.
She is survived by her three children, Kerri Hawkins Aylor of Culpeper, Mark Hawkins of Alexandria, and Kelli Ferlazzo and her husband David of Culpeper, seven grandchildren, Brian Aylor and his wife Jennifer, Michael Aylor, Daniel, Laura, Megan, Natalie and Nicole Ferlazzo, all of Culpeper.
Also surviving are two brothers, Paul D. Hawkins of Reidsville, N. C. and Marvin L. Hawkins of Culpeper.
In addition to her parents Thelma is preceded in death by three brothers, William, Richard and Rev. Edward Hawkins, one nephew, Paul Daniel Jr. and two nieces, Rebecca Leigh Hawkins and Mitzi Dawn Hawkins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 from 6-8pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels with Rev. Wayne Thompson officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Brian Aylor, Michael Aylor, Daniel Ferlazzo, Steve Norman, Richard Burke, Jr. and Steve Lamb.
