Thelma Roberta Corbin's Obituary
Thelma Roberta Bennett-Corbin, 91, of Culpeper, passed away Friday, March 17, 2023, at Culpeper Health and Rehab with her family by her side. Thelma was born March 7, 1932, to the late William and Hazel Clatterbuck-Bennett in Culpeper, VA. She was the widow of the late Robert Lee Corbin, Sr. She was the anchor of the family, a homemaker, wife, mom, sister, Thelma, granny, and Nan to all.
Nan was a member of Lael Baptist Church. Her favorite things were keeping her grandbabies and telling stories to all the ones in her room. At Christmas, she would cook around 13-15 country hams so Big Bill could give them to his farming customers and never complain. She loved to just help everyone.
Nan is survived by her children, Wayne (Regina), Terry Bo (Tena), Dennis, and Patty (Charles); her daughters-in-law, Sue, Brenda, and Janet; her siblings, Peewee Bennett (Monique) and Lorraine Joye (AL); sixteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and seven great, great-grandchildren.
Nan will truly be missed, especially by Jake and Jodi. They knew she was missing her loved ones, her brothers, William "Billy" Bennett, and Douglas Bennett. Now she is at peace with her husband, Robert, and her sons, Robert “Lee”, James "Russell", Andrew William “Billy”, Jerry Randell "Happy, Tibbs", and Danny "Cricket".
