Theda McQuigg Ritchie's Obituary
Theda McQuigg Ritchie, 85, of Culpeper passed away Friday, October 21, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born April 9, 1937, in Steinman, VA to the late Arvil and Vadna Barton.
Theda attended Mountain View Community Church where she was on their Prayer Care Team and in the Life Group which met at her house. She loved to crochet and play cards, especially Spades.
Theda is survived by her children, Danny Edwards, Diana L. Kelly, James McQuigg, and Michelle Antill (Charles); siblings, Edward Barton (Fina), Glen Barton (Glenda), Leon Barton (Marie), and Jannie Williams (Terry); nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great, great-grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Garvey McQuigg, and her siblings, Billy Barton, Pauline Kiser, Jean Anderson, and Phyllis Barton.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 11 am at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper with Rev. Leon Barton officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers will be Patrick and Nathan Edwards, John and Matthew Lizardi, and Aaron and Anthony McQuigg.
