Terry Lloyd Crawford's Obituary
LTC Terry Crawford, USA (Ret.), 71 of Fredericksburg passed away Monday, February 14, 2011 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Lieutenant Colonel Crawford’s military assignments and training included coast to coast tours in the United States plus tours in South America and the Far East. His 20 years included staff assignments and command in communications and electronics, procurement, intelligence and information systems. He retired from the Army in 1982. During his service he earned the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards), the Joint Service Commendation Medal and the Army Commendation Medal (2 awards).
After retiring from the Army, he was employed for 16 years at the U.S. Postal Service Headquarters in Washington D.C. He worked for 2 years in Information Systems and for 14 years in procurement with 2 years as a senior staffer and 12 of the years in the Postal Service Executive Service. He retired in 1998.
Terry is survived by his better half of 25 years, Ann Dee Mann; two sons, Todd Crawford and his partner, Joan Ewell of Woodbridge and Tadd Crawford and his wife, Venetta of Chesapeake; his brother, Larry Crawford and his wife, Debbie of Missouri; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A graveside service will be held Friday, February 18, 2011 at 1:00 pm in Quantico National Cemetery.
