Terry Lee Bursey's Obituary
Terry Lee Bursey was received into God’s arms on December 12, 2023. He is no longer suffering from pain and is at peace. He was born on February 21, 1949.
Terry served in the US Army as a Missile Command Specialist from 1968 to 1972. He was stationed in the South Korean DMZ Hot Zone during the Vietnam era from 1969 to 1971. Terry graduated with a Bachelor of Science Engineering Technology from Virginia Tech, formally the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, on May 28, 1977.
Terry was a loving and selfless husband and friend. He loved animals, traveling, camping, opera, ballet, reading, learning to speak Italian, and going Jeep’n with friends. Most of all, he was a devout Christian who loved God, and is now safe in His arms.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Louise Bursey.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 22, 2023 at Culpeper National Cemetery, 501 E. Chandler Street, Culpeper, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, Terry would encourage that donations be made to your favorite charity that protects and/or heals children or to a no-kill animal shelter/rescue.
