Terrie Anne James' Obituary
Terrie Anne James, 67 of Fredericksburg, beloved wife and forever “Sweetheart” of David Kelly James, died on May 29, 2024.
Terrie is survived by her husband; four sisters, Bobbie McCrarey, Barrie Bland (Corinne Mickelson), Lorrie White (Ted White), and Leslie Bland; her nephew, James B Fullerton, and his wife, Nicole; and her great nephew, James Christopher.
Terrie was preceded in death by her parents, Edward A. Bland and Patricia A. Bland.
Terrie will be missed deeply by her family, friends, and community. Terrie was an avid gardener, world traveler and a generous friend. She enjoyed the beach, dancing, running, biking, and taking care of those dearest to her with a twinkle in her eye and a gladness in her heart.
Terrie was the Postmaster for Dahlgren, Lake of the Woods, and Ashland post offices. She worked with the U.S. Postal Service for 34 years and served on the Board of Directors as the Treasurer of Historic Fredericksburg Foundation, Inc.
An open service of remembrance will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2024 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. She will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of memorial contributions in her honor to Historic Fredericksburg Foundation, Inc., 1200 Caroline St, Fredericksburg, VA 22401.
