Terrence Devon Rascoe's Obituary
Terrence D. Rascoe was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, friend, and Christian. Son of Edward Lee (deceased) and Janice Carter Rascoe, he was born July 19, 1981, at George Washington University Hospital, Washington, D.C. He entered eternal life with his Lord and Savior Jesus on Monday, October 27, 2025, in Spotsylvania, VA, at the age of 44.
Terrence was joined in holy matrimony in December 2007 to Maxine Burgess and enjoyed many blissful years of marriage together. From this union, two children, Isaiah and Danielle, shared his love, kindness, knowledge, humor, and obedience to Godly devotion.
Fatherhood was a blessing. He showed joy, patience, and exercised discipline. Family brought him happiness, and he loved all who entered into his life. You could always count on him with a helping hand and sound advice. A FAMILY THAT PRAYS TOGETHER STAYS TOGETHER.
Terrence was employed as a Network Engineer at Spotsylvania County Government from September 2014 until October 2018; then from July 2021 until his earthly departure in October 2025. Terrence was employed as an IT Network Manager at Powhatan County Government from October 2018 until July 2021. He was the “go to” guy for any networking or phone issue.
Terrence was preceded in death by his father Edward Lee Rascoe and mother-in-law Sherline Burgess.
Terrence is survived by his wife Maxine Rascoe, two children, Isaiah Rascoe (Tais, fiancée) and Danielle Rascoe, mother Janice Rascoe, and father-in-law Edward Burgess (Cresenti). Left to cherish his memories are: sister Lakeisha Rascoe; sister-in-law Charlene Burgess, brother-in-law Edward Burgess, Jr., three nephews James Gant, Jr. (Emarjah), Syrrail "Goku" Rascoe, Edward Burgess III, two nieces Jasmine Gant, Liliana Burgess, two great nephews Sincere Gant-Mbaye and Jahmari Gant, three great nieces Serenity Gant-Mbaye, Aurelia Burgess, and Azari Burgess, close cousin Antonne Cooper (Chastity), “his brother” Dennis Martin (Tammy); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coworkers, and relatives too numerous to list.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: fear God, and keep His commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
The family will receive friends from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 8, 2025 at Crossroads Baptist Church, where the funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Ken Biggs officiating. Burial will follow in Spotsylvania Confederate Cemetery.
