Terrel Lervell Cole's Obituary
Terrel Lervell Cole was born June 28, 1985, in Fredericksburg, Virginia, to Lisa Cole and Darrel Harper, Sr. He attended Stafford County Public Schools, where he enjoyed playing football from middle school into his high school years. He would then later on in life obtain his GED. Terrel departed this life on January 26, 2025, in Charlottesville, Virginia, surrounded by his family and friends.
Terrel had a very huge heart and would do anything for anyone from his family to his friends. As a kid growing up in Hartwood, Virginia (754), you could find Terrel outside with his beloved grandfather, the late Sanford J. Cole, Sr. with his hands in about any and everything, from outside in the yard, to venturing off into the woods. When it was time to be inside you could find him taking apart some kind of radio or electronic device, just to put it back together and say “Look Y’all”. Terrel even had a hand for artwork; he would even sit and draw his own images to place on various objects.
As a young adult, Terrel would make the choice to become a man and care for his family and that would lead to the man we all knew as “Freaky”. His love for cars, fishing, ATVs, dogs, wildlife, hunting, football, tree work, the list could go on, will never be replaced, but most definitely missed will be the two dimples he showed when he smiled and we knew it was genuine.
Terrel was preceded in death by his grandfather, Sandford J. Cole, Sr.; step-father, Jason A. Poole; and brother, Lamar Johnson.
Terrel leaves to cherish his memory, his fiancé of 19 years, Amanda Bowers; six children, Ivree, Trinity, Terrel, Jr., Nyomi, Nashele, and Roycen; one step-son, Javonte Payne; his mother, Aletha Cole; his father, Darrel Harper, Sr.; grandmother, Juanita Cole; one brother, Denzel Cole (Christina); three uncles, Sanford Cole, Jr. (Karen), Stuart Cole, and Curley Cole; one aunt, Teresa Cole; and his beloved cousin whom he treated as a brother, Terrance Webster.
Terrel also leaves to cherish his memory, his Goldvein, Virginia (752) family who loved him deeply, grandmother, Elizabeth Poole; two uncles, Jeffery Poole and Daniel Earl Lee; one aunt, Elizabeth Coles; three brothers, Dante Webster, Delonte Pool, and Jason Johnson; and three sisters, Netanya Jackson, Briana Jackson, and Kayla Webster.
His memory will be honored and cherished by nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends. One great friend that will greatly miss him is his best friend, brother, road dog, and partner-in-crime, Kenneth “Stibbz” Stribbling, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service.
