Teddy Lewis Elliott's Obituary
Teddy Lewis Elliott, 82, of Culpeper passed away peacefully on Monday, June 11, 2024, at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Virginia. He was born on November 30, 1941, to the late Teddy Gid and Martha Jenkins Elliott.
Teddy is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Charlotte Dwyer Elliott, his sister Winnie Elliott Weaver, and her husband Junior of Brightwood, and his sister, Sandra Elliott of Culpeper. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Hoyt of Culpeper. Teddy proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He will be remembered for his unwavering work ethic. He was a dedicated employee of Cintas for 31 years, from February 1993 until his passing, and rarely missed a day. Additionally, for in excess of 25 of those years, he worked part-time at the Culpeper Star Exponent.
Teddy took pride in always having a pristine lawn and enjoyed decorating his yard for Halloween and Christmas. He had an infectious smile and enjoyed spoiling his nieces, nephews, and cat Kita. He was a friend to everyone and would readily help anyone in need.
Teddy leaves behind a legacy of service, kindness, and integrity that will continue to inspire and guide us all. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, at 12:30 p.m. at Found and Sons
Funeral Chapel with Pastor Payne officiating. The family will receive friends the hour prior
to the service.
Interment will follow in the Culpeper National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Dwyer, Larry Dwyer, Matthew Dwyer, David Weaver, Edward
Green, and Richard “Gabe” Klonowski.
