Sylvia Gore Norris' Obituary
Sylvia Gore Norris, 89, of Culpeper died Monday, March 22, 2010 at her son’s residence. She was born October 1, 1920 in Leon, VA to the late Albert and Neda Gore.
She is survived by her son, Robert F. Norris and his wife, Susan, one grandson, Randy Norris and his wife, Kris and two great granddaughters, Taylor and Tristen Norris, one step grandson, Jeremy Aylor, and one step great granddaughter, MacKenzie Aylor.
Additional survivors include her brothers, Winfrey Gore and his wife, Edith, Milton Gore and his wife, Betty Lou, Otis Gore and his wife, Ella and Ray Gore and his wife, Margaret, her sisters, Helen Hart, Christine Corbin, Arline Rupard, Dorothy Jenkins and her husband, Sam and Linda Bazzle and her husband, Billy, and special caregivers, Connie Aylor, Lynne von Steinner and Judy Shupp.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Norris, her daughter, Margaret Ann O’Donnell and her siblings, Mickey Gore, Garland Gore, Eunice Jenkins and Lois Jenkins.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Bethel Baptist Church, 6262 Hoover Rd., Reva, VA 22735 with Chaplain Denise Voygt officiating. A one hour visitation will be held prior to the service.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
