Sylvia Renee Borreson's Obituary
Sylvia Renee Borreson, 72 of Fredericksburg, Virginia passed away October 22, 2019.
Born on April 22, 1947 in Eugene, Oregon. Sylvia graduated from Bandon High School, and continued her education in beauty school where she became a hairdresser. Following her career as a hairdresser she explored different career opportunities as a bank teller and civilian employee for the US Navy as an Ombudsman. Finally, after more than 20 years she retired from Walmart where most people knew her as Renee. Sylvia was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Survivors include her children, Brian Selby, Dewight Selby, Aaron (Erica) Selby, and Andrea (Brandon) Fitzner; son-in-law, Robert Barton; 12 grandchildren, Nakita Strangeways, Amiee Mills, Kia-Dre Henry, Michael Selby, Mathew Mills, Emilee Mills, Ashlee Selby, Brandon Selby, Amber Barton, Kimberlee Barton, Melody Barton and Jaden Barton; three great grandchildren, Dante Henry, Levi Selby and Brayden Mills; a brother, Gary Wallace; a close childhood friend, Wanda Lee; and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew L. Borreson, Jr.; and her parents, Howard D. Wallace and Sylvia L. Starrett.
Sylvia’s family will receive friends from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, with the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
