Susan Jane Jenkins' Obituary
Susan Jane Jenkins, 72, of Culpeper died Saturday, March 10, 2012 at her residence. She was born February 6, 1940 in Rappahannock County to the late Willie Oscar Butler and the late Mattie Elizabeth Wharton Butler.
Mrs. Jenkins was the owner and operator of Unique Creations Hair Salon.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lawrence E. Jenkins, a son, Lawrence Terry Jenkins and his wife, Sibyl Jean, of Raleigh, North Carolina, and a daughter, Tammy Brown and her husband, Stephen, of Culpeper.
Additional survivors include seven grandchildren, Sibyl Pearce and her husband Dustin, Erin Jenkins, Tyler Jenkins, Ethan Jenkins and his wife, Ciara, Ryan Brown, Heath Brown, and Fallon Brown . She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Ava and Owen Pearce, and a sister, Mildred Jenkins.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother, Hollis Butler, and three sisters, Dorothy Dowdy, Laura-Anna Compton, and Corrine Scott.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 12, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, Virginia.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday March 13, 2012 at 2 p.m. in the Found and Sons Chapel with Pastor Sandy Martin officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Tyler and Ethan Jenkins and Heath Brown, her son-in-law, Steve Brown, her grand-son-in-law, Dustin Pearce , and her nephew, David Jenkins,.
