Sue Nan T. Williams' Obituary
Sue Nan T. Williams, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, born December 1, 1928, in Paducah, KY and deceased on March 25, 2016, in Orange, VA. Predeceased by husband, James John Williams in June 2001. Survived by her brother, Thomas L. Thompson of Logonville, GA; three daughters and son, Brada W. Panther of Orange, VA; Becky W. Parrish of Gordonsville, VA; James C. Williams of Springfield, VA; and Melissa Ann Williams with Bret Beale of Springfield, VA; and five grandchildren, Amelia Parrish Monroe of Richmond, VA; Mary Helena Parrish of Atlanta, GA; Isaac Williams Parrish of Castleton, VA; Hannah Williams Beale and Ethan Nathaniel Beale of Springfield, VA.
Graduated from Tilman High School in Paducah, KY in 1947. Was a homemaker and employed as an office assistant in various doctors’ offices, employed by the catalog division of the Smithsonian Institute, and volunteered at Culpeper Hospital. Was a Master Gardener and founding member of the garden clubs in Park Forest South, IL and Culpeper, VA, and an avid bridge player.
Family will host a local celebration at her home in Culpeper, VA, on Saturday, April 9, 2016, from Noon to 2:00 pm, and a second celebration in Paducah, KY, on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Interested parties are invited to contact family for additional information and directions. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the McCracken County Humane Society, 4000 Coleman Road, Paducah, KY 42001.
