Stuart Arthur Wade's Obituary
Stuart Arthur Wade, 80, of Colonial Beach, died Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Mary Washington Hospital. He was born February 9, 1939 in Grundy, VA to the late Roy and Lucy Mosley Wade.
Mr. Wade held several different positions for 20 years including Assistant Manager and union representative for A&P. He loved watching western movies, was an avid Redskins fan and liked watching local sports. Above all, he loved his wife and family and his beloved dog Max.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Lois Ellen Wade; two children, John Stuart Wade of Gaithersburg, MD, and Diane Andre and her husband, Allen of Colonial Beach; one stepson, Dwayne Dempsey; two siblings, Wilford Wade and Kathleen Sue Addison; five grandsons, Johnny S. Wade, Jr., Christopher A. Wade, Andy L. Andre, Michael A. Andre and Brett Arthur Andre; and 11 great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two stepchildren, Ronald T. and Jacqueline Dempsey; and five siblings, Aubrey Wade, Arnette Rhinehart, Emory Wade, James Wade and Mozelle Cusick.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 3 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Ron Young officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
