Stuart Payne, Sr.'s Obituary
Stuart Edward Payne, 86, of Spotsylvania died Monday, March 1, 2010 at his home.
Stuart was a member of the Montclair Tabernacle Church of God and was a US Army Veteran.
Born in Manassas to the late Edgar and Clara Payne, Stuart is survived by two sons, Stuart E. Payne, Jr. and his wife Elda of Stafford County and Larry T. Payne and his wife Sheila of Manassas; two daughters, Kathy G. Smith-Vanburen and her husband, Brent of Tennessee, and Sharon A. Watson and her husband, Robert, of Spotsylvania; two sisters, Iris L. Cavanaugh of Manassas, and Shirley Orendoff and her husband, Richard, of Manassas and Numerous brothers and sisters n laws. He also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, Stuart was preceded in death by his first wife Virgie (Peachy), his second wife Caryll, and two daughters, Lynda Payne-Perry and Nancy Smallwood.
Stuart’s family will receive friends, Sunday March 7, 2010 from 5 – 8 PM at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels – Cremation Service, 10719 Courthouse Rd., Fredericksburg. A funeral celebrating Stuarts life will be held at Noon Monday, March 8 at the Montclair Tabernacle Church of God, 16120 Dumfries Rd., Dumfries, VA. Burial will follow in Quantico National Cemetery at 2pm.
