Steven Paul Koeller's Obituary
Steven Paul Koeller, 71, of Culpeper, passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at Fauquier Hospital. He was born March 12, 1955, to the late Leo Earnest Koeller and Hazel Eggers Koeller in Lancaster, WI.
Steven passed away, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, quiet passion, and lifelong curiosity.
For 25 years, He faithfully served his country working in technical communications for the Central Intelligence Agency. His career reflected his sharp mind, commitment to excellence, and unwavering sense of duty.
Outside of his professional life, Steven found great joy in the simple and meaningful moments. He became an avid ham radio operator, connecting with others across distances and sharing in a unique community that brought him much fulfillment. He also had a deep appreciation for nature, spending many peaceful hours bird watching and enjoying the beauty of the world around him.
Steven will be remembered as a thoughtful and dedicated individual who valued both service and serenity. His quiet presence and genuine interests left a lasting impression on those who knew him.
He will be deeply missed.
Steven is survived by his wife, Jayne Koeller; his daughter, Jennifer Ann Bracken (C.J.); grandchildren, Nicholas Rogers, Emma Rogers, Mia Bracken and Tyler Bracken; brothers, Dennis Koeller, Ernest Koeller, and David Koeller; and sisters, Karen Appenzeller, Velma Koeller, Janet Noll, and Pamela Ries.
In addition to his parents, Steven is preceded in death by his brothers, Carson Koeller, Duane Koeller, Douglas Koeller, Robert Koeller, and Mansel Koeller; and sisters, Sandra Koeller, Lori Gueder, and Patricia Richardson.
Per Steve’s request, services will be private.
