Steve Cooper's Obituary
Steve Paul (T-Paul) Cooper, 40 of Richardsville died Monday, July 26, 2010 at Fauquier Hospital. He was born July 9, 1970 in Colombia, SC to Joyce Ann Ryder Martin and the late Wallace Lorman Cooper.
Steve was a hardworking man who owned and operated First Choice Tree & Landscaping. He enjoyed working on cars, collecting knives, sitting and talking with his family and friends and loved his bullmastiffs.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Vanessa Lynn Cooper, his father, B.J. Martin, four children, Crystal Dawn Wharton of Charlottesville, Ashleigh Nichole Cooper of Stafford, Devin Austin-Lee Cooper of Richardsville, Nadia Marie Essad of Richardsville, his siblings, Tonya Cooper Smith of Culpeper, Brian (Boo) Scott Cooper and his wife, Mary of Culpeper, Troy Mitchell Cooper and his wife, Gina of Richardsville, Cynthia Michelle Cooper-Martin and her husband, James of Warrenton, and one granddaughter, Mariah Jean Veira of Charlottesville.
Additional survivors include his nieces and nephews, Jessica Nicole Pritt, Megan Onyx Cubbage, KristyOnna Marie Smith, Justin Franklin Byars, Brice Scott Cooper, Austin Lewis Cooper, Mckenzie Michelle Cooper, Joshua Alan Wright, Matthew Lorman Wright, Amanda Paige Martin, one great niece, Reagan Mychelle Pritt, one great nephew, Chase Allyn Cubbage, one uncle, Robert (Fuzzy) Ryder, mother and father-in-law, Forrest and Dorothy McCormick, as well as several other brothers, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and other family members.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Donna Story Cooper, one grandson, Noah Shawn-Thomas Veira, and his maternal grandparents, Robert and Lorelle Ryder.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA 22701.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Sanford L. Martin officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ray Mozingo, Sean Hunt, Justin Byars, Junior Sisk, Chuck Handlowich and Daniel Yowell. Honorary pallbearers will be Brian (Boo) Scott Cooper and Troy M. Cooper.
Per the family’s request, please do not send flowers but instead send memorial contributions to the family c/o Found and Sons Funeral Chapel to help with the funeral expenses.
