Stephen Wayne Phillips, Sr.'s Obituary
Stephen Wayne Phillips, Sr., 76, of Rixeyville, died Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Fauquier Hospital. He was born July 28, 1948, in Decatur, IL to the late Geraldine Christine Phillips and Harold Milton Phillips, Jr.
Stephen was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church of Decatur, IL, and a veteran of the US Army. He collected guns and coins and enjoyed fishing and especially coaching. He helped to start the Culpeper Football Association. Stephen loved reading books by Louis L'Amour and watching the Minnesota Vikings and John Wayne movies.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Diana Marie Phillips; children, Stephen W. Phillips, Jr. (Nataliya), Shane Thomas Phillips (Amber), and honorary daughter, Jennifer Jennejahn (Erica); five grandchildren, Wyatt Thomas Phillips, Korin Dawson Phillips, Parker Shane Phillips, Stephanie Christine Phillips, and Nina Nicole Phillips; and three siblings, Jerry Lee Phillips, Mary Black, and Harold Stanley Timothy Phillips (Kathy).
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, December 9, 2024, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Kevin Dawson officiating. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.

Interment will follow at Culpeper National Cemetery, 501 E Chandler Street, Culpeper, VA. Pallbearers serving the family will be Stephen Phillips, Jr., Shane Phillips, Wyatt Phillips, Parker Phillips, Keith Riggs, Justin Barton, Matt Phillips, and Erica Jennejahn.
