Stephen "Steve" Cruse's Obituary
Stephen “Steve” Alan Cruse, 67, a longtime resident of Culpeper, VA died recently at English Meadows Senior Living Home due to pancreatic cancer.
Steve was born in Bethesda, MD on August 5, 1952 and was raised in Alexandria, VA. He spent the majority of his law enforcement and government career for such organizations as the United States Park Police, Federal Emergency Management Authority, and Naval Criminal Investigative Service. He was active in the Culpeper community, including assisting voters during elections, regular blood donations to the Red Cross, participation in the Culpeper Republican Party, and membership at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church in Boston, VA.
Mr. Cruse is survived by his mother; Virginia Dawn Rawley of Culpeper, VA; brother, William Lawrence Cruse of Charlottesville, VA; and two nieces; Megan Cruse-Luedke of Wisconsin and Shannon Cruse Ranson of Virginia.
He was preceded in death by his father; William Robert Cruse.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at 11 am at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church, 19 Scrabble Road, Boston, VA 22713. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Amissville Baptist Church Cemetery, 776 View Town Rd, Amissville, VA 20106.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Culpeper Food Closet, P.O. Box 343 Culpeper, VA 22701.
