Stella Mae Rutherford's Obituary
Stella Mae Rutherford, 89, of Stanardsville, died Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at The Harbor at Renaissance of Greene County. She was born October 18, 1935, in Rappahannock County to the late Ennis S. and Della L. Jenkins.
Stella is survived by her husband of 69 years and the love of her life, Robert Jackson Rutherford; three children, Jerry Lee Rutherford (Diana), Robert Wayne Rutherford (Debbie), and Brenda Mae Rutherford; five grandchildren, Tammy Stuart (Pat), Kimberly May, Pamela Miles, Joey May, (Jammie), and Veronica Harms (Michael); one brother, Ennis Jenkins, Jr.; ten great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one daughter, Joan Kay May; and three siblings, James Jenkins, Mary Catherine Atkins, and Charles William Jenkins.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Pedro Thompson officiating.
Interment will follow at Sperryville Cemetery. Pallbearers serving the family will be Robert Smith, Joey May, William May, Charles Rutherford, Billy Rutherford, Michael Harms, and Angel Lang.
