Stanley Daughtville Rose's Obituary
With a heavy heart, yet overflowing with joy and gratitude, I announce the passing of my beloved husband of 56 incredible years, Stanley Daughtville Rose. As the devoted father of five children and 12 grandchildren, he lived a life of purpose, serving the Lord and others selflessly. His remarkable journey included 30 years of dedicated service to the Pentagon, courageous service in the Vietnam War, and 15 years as a Support Manager for Walmart. On March 14, 2026, his earthly journey came to an end, but his legacy lives on. To those who knew him, his unwavering faith, and powerful voice inspired us all to run harder for God. Even in the most challenging times, he ministered with love, compassion and wisdom. From the halls of the Pentagon to the foothills of Old Rag Mountain, his journey was a testament to God’s Glory. He fearlessly proclaimed Jesus’ work, and now, he receives his rewards. As we bid farewell, let us become diligent in prayer, not just for our own, but for our world. “If my people, who are called by name, will humble themselves and pray, then they will hear from heaven, and I will heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14) I offer heartfelt gratitude to Bishop Ralph Green for their unwavering support, and to Minister John Chandler nurturing my husband’s calling. May God bless you all. Elder, Pastor, Evangelist – titles were unnecessary for a man who wore heart on his sleeve.
He was born on September 14, 1950 to the late Ralph Rose and Thelma White in Washington, DC and raised in Rixeyville, VA. He graduated from Dunbar Sr. High School in Washington, DC in 1968. He later earned his associates degree from Montgomery County College.
