Stacey Celia Blankenship's Obituary
Stacey Celia Wilson Blankenship, 51, of Fredericksburg, Virginia passed away peacefully on July 16, 2024, at Mary Washington Hospital.
Stacey was born in Rockledge, Florida to Glenn and Mildred Irene Wilson. After a few months Stacey and her family moved back to the family’s hometown of Bowling Green, Kentucky where she attended school and met many loving and faithful friends. At the age of 17, she moved to Louisville to attend Sullivan University (then, Sullivan College) where she worked toward a business degree.
At the age of 19, Stacey moved to Virginia where she worked at Kay Jewelers before moving on to Security Link where she met her husband, Tim. In 2001, Stacey began work at Virginia Dental and Anesthesia Associates in Fredericksburg where she eventually became the office manager. All who worked with her over the years spoke of her carefree spirit, her desire to help others, and work ethic. She enjoyed many office parties and office trips over the years.
Stacey loved life, loved her family, and loved her pets, Dexter, Milly, Zoe, Davina and Teva.
Stacey is survived by her husband of 25 years, Tim; her two daughters, Hannah, 24, of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Hope, 17; seven siblings, Steve Wilson (Lela) of Hendersonville, TN, Ross Wilson of Smiths Grove, KY, Debbie Napier (Darrell) of Bowling Green, KY, Danny Wilson (Wendy) of Smiths Grove, KY, Donna Minton (Jerry) of Barre, MA, Michael Wilson of Portland, TN, and Kevin Wilson (Tina) of Bowling Green, KY; and 13 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The family requests that you please dress casually.
There will also be a memorial service in her hometown of Bowling Green, KY at a later date.
