Sidney Armstead Harrell's Obituary
Sidney Harrell, 91, of Fredericksburg passed away Saturday June, 6, 2015 at his home.
Sidney was a warm, gentle and loving person who enjoyed traveling, especially for family vacations and church retreats in Gatlinburg.
Sidney is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jeane Harrell; a son, Neal Harrell of Fredericksburg; a daughter, Katherine Harrell-Norman and her husband, William of Richmond; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. Sidney’s family wishes to thank their special caregiver Carolyn Frasier for the love and care she provided.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, William Harrell, Robert Harrell and Julian “Buddy” Harrell.
A funeral service will be held at 12 noon Friday, June 12, 2015 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg with Pastor Teresa Smith officiating. Sidney’s family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hope United Methodist Church, 164 New Hope Church Road, Fredericksburg VA 22405.
