Shirlyn Irene Parker's Obituary
Shirlyn Irene Parker, 70, of Spotsylvania County passed away Monday, December 28, 2015 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center.
Shirlyn enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandkids. She loved everyone she met and was an avid Washington Redskins fan.
Shirlyn was a devout Christian with a mountain of faith in God and her loving Lord Jesus Christ.
Shirlyn is survived by her son, Wayne Parker of Spotsylvania; daughter, Donna Wallace (Mike) of Fredericksburg; sister, Althea Whitlow of South Boston; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua, Angel, Kaylee, and Kyle; five great-grandchildren, Grayson, Teresa, Caydence, Joshua, and Evelynn; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Lessie Adams; brother, Claude Adams, Jr.; and daughter, Teresa Hafner.
Shirlyn’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 4, 2016 in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in Halifax Memorial Gardens in South Boston, VA.
