Shirley C. Settle's Obituary
Shirley C. Settle, 70, of Amissville, died Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Fauquier Hospital. She was born on January 16, 1936 in Rappahannock County to the late Rasby and Goldie Clark.
Mrs. Settle was a loving and caring mother, grandmother and wife to all. She provided and cared for many and enjoyed gardening and making flower arrangements. She was a wonderful cook and loved making her homemade pies.
She is survived by her children, Christine Compton of Front Royal and George Pullen of Amissville, her sister, Dorothy Eastham of Flint Hill, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Settle was preceded in death by her first husband, George Pullen, Sr., second husband, Turner Settle and siblings, Russell Clark, Marjorie Kenney, and Lewis Clark.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Rev. Pittman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Flint Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Compton, Jr., Angela Pullen, Gary Compton, Lisa Smith, George Compton, Roger Hitt, Jim Foresman, and Lewis Clark.
