Shirley Evelyn Jett's Obituary
Shirley Evelyn Jett, 81, of Spotsylvania County passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at her home.
Shirley enjoyed hosting family gatherings, celebrating holidays together with her family, gardening (when she was able), beautiful flowers, and collecting bells and knick-knacks. She was a great cook and baker.
Shirley is survived by two sons, Robert Jett and his wife, Barbara of King George County and Ricky Jett and his wife, Carla of Spotsylvania; three daughters, Linda Cole and her husband, Gary, Lori Shelton and her husband, Bobby, and Kathy Curtis, all of Spotsylvania; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a sister, Daisy Paytes of Fredericksburg, two brothers, Richard Mastin and Henry Mastin, both of Spotsylvania; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin Lee Jett; a son, Billy Jett; and a grandson, Ronald Doggett, Jr.
Shirley’s family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26, 2015 the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
