Sherry Jeanette Facemire's Obituary
Sherry Jeannette Facemire, 65, of Ashland, VA, passed away on October 23, 2025. She was born
June 8, 1960.
Sherry worked at Glass America for 20 years as a Customer Service Representative and Trainer. She was deeply dedicated to her job, and everyone who worked with Sherry absolutely loved her.
Sherry’s strong faith guided her life. A favorite reminder that hung on her refrigerator read, “Stress happens when people forget God is in charge.” Above all, Sherry loved her children and grandchildren more than life itself. She especially cherished her weekends with her grandson Joshua—having sleepovers, playing games, and going to various activities together were the highlights of her week. Sherry will always be remembered for her caring and giving nature. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went and was known as the “funny one” in any group. She loved telling jokes, often calling friends in the morning just to share one she heard on the radio before hanging up, leaving everyone laughing.
Sherry’s warmth, humor, and kindness touched countless lives. She will be profoundly missed
by all who knew and loved her.
Sherry is survived by her children, Joshua Whitehead (Ryan Cannon) of Bumpass, VA and
Heather Dos Santos of Colorado; grandchildren, Joshua A. Whitehead, Jr. of Bumpass, VA,
Owen Dos Santos, Cliff Dos Santos, and Ozzy Dos Santos all of Colorado; sisters, Wanda Heath
(Doug) of Remington, VA, Nancy Lewis (Norman) of Carterville, VA, and Tammy Grantham
(Craig) of Knoxville, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her niece, Erica Linnette Heath.
