Shannon Kirby's Obituary
Shannon Lee Kirby, age 42 of Culpeper, Virginia went to her eternal home with her Lord and Savior after a battle with Small Cell Lung Cancer on Saturday, May 28, 2022.
Born July 12, 1979 in Woodbridge, Virginia. Graduated from Woodbridge High school in 1997. She was employed at TSI Convergent for 15 years. She was a faithful member of Lifepoint Church. She loved anything having to do with kids. She loved all things music/worship related. She had the childlike faith everybody wishes to aspire until her last breath.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Emmanuel Jenkins; Grandma Cacilie Ray (Mamaw); brother, Devin Wayne Kirby.
She is survived by her father Roy Carlton Kirby and wife Bonnie
A loving Mother, Kimberly Ward; Three children, Aisha Renee’ Surratte, Autumn Eliska Jenkins, Aiden Emmanuel Jenkins; Brothers, Steven Spero, Matthew Spero, Michael Spero, Daniel Kirby; Aunts, Barbara Harvey and husband Bryan, Linda Paradis, Christien Ray, Lisa Mueller and husband Andrew Mueller; Best friends (lifelong friends), Melissa Clark-McCarthy, Shawn Connor and JoAnn Charity.
The family would like to express immense gratitude to friends, family, and church family for their prayers, meals sent, all caregiving/support and encouragement that was given throughout the last 9 months of this journey.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, June 15th at 2pm at Found and Sons Funeral Home, 850 Sperryville Pike Culpeper, VA 22701. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service from 1-2 PM.
In lieu of flowers Shannon would’ve wanted any donations to go to the Alzheimers Foundation and the Sickle Cell Foundation.
