Scott Fisher's Obituary
Scott Matthew Fisher, 33, of Culpeper died Thursday, September 10, 2009. Scott was born May 15, 1976, in Charlottesville and was a lifelong resident of Culpeper.
Scott graduated in 1995 from Randolph-Macon Academy where he lettered in 6 sports and was all-conference in basketball and soccer. He graduated in 2004 with a degree in marketing from Old Dominion University. In 2007, he won the Culpeper Open Tennis Tournament. Scott was creative and loved to sing and draw. He was adventurous and enjoyed being outdoors, especially when hiking and skiing. He also loved golfing with his friends and his Grandpa. Scott will be remembered as a compassionate and authentic friend, brother and son.
Celebrating his contributions to their lives are his father, Steven Roger Fisher and his wife, Monica of Jeffersonton and his mother, Gail Lucas Picking and her husband, Ken of Gettysburg, PA; his two brothers, Brian Michael Fisher of Fairfax and Evan Alexander Fisher of Jeffersonton and his step brother, Lucas Picking of North Brunswick, NJ.
He is also survived by his paternal grandfather, John M. Fisher, two aunts, Linda Fisher Werner and her husband, John and Kim Hayden and her husband, Bob of Middletown, OH; an uncle, Doug Lucas of Naples, FL. and two cousins, Laura and Reed Werner.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Thelma Lucille Fisher and his maternal grandparents, Jim and Louise Lucas.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 15, 2009, from 6 - 9 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Home, 850 Sperryville Pike.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 16, 2009, at 11 am. in Found and Sons Chapel with Dr. Ted W. Fuson officiating.
Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
