Sarah Ann Smoot's Obituary
Sarah Ann Smoot, 90, of Culpeper died Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at Culpeper Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born September 21, 1927 in Rappahannock County to the late Benjamin and Lucy Kennedy Jenkins.
Mrs. Smoot lived for her family. She had a gift of making everyone feel special and was extremely caring.
She is survived by seven children, Hilda Nicholson and her husband, Larry, Ray Smoot, Allen Smoot and his wife, Carolyn, Joyce Brookman, Sandra Lafond, Steven Smoot and his wife, Wanda, and Nancy Jenkins; two siblings, Lois Short, and Mary Early and her husband, Richard; 17 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Smoot; one daughter, Joan Warden; five siblings, Benjamin R. Jenkins, Ruth Geil, Virginia Jenkins, Jane Elkins and Jessie Jarrell; and one granddaughter, Kelly Warden.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 6, 2018 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 7, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Kevin Dawson officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
