Sarah Ellen Hudson's Obituary
Sarah Ellen Hudson, lovingly known as Ellen or Aunt Ellen to those close to her, peacefully entered into the presence of the Lord on October 17, 2024. Ellen was a woman of quiet strength and enduring love, spending her days tending to her beloved garden and finding peace in afternoon naps on the family farm she shared with her late husband, Edward Brown Hudson.
A devoted wife and mother, Ellen dedicated her life to raising her three daughters, Debra Hudson Weller, Linda Hudson Clanagan, and Anna Virginia Hudson, as a stay-at-home mom on Tiger Valley Road. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her own children, as she was blessed with three grandchildren, Amie Michelle Weller, Anthony Edward Clanagan, and Daryrl Lane Loan. In time, her love continued to grow with the arrival of five cherished great-grandchildren, Cody Weller, Lewis Clanagan, Allie Clanagan, Logan Clanagan, and Arieanna Ellen Clanagan - her little singer and namesake.
Ellen's legacy of love, family, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be laid to rest at the Masonic Cemetery, beside her beloved Edward, where they will forever be together.
Her family and friends will remember her as a woman who cherished the simple joys of life and radiated love to those around her.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2024, at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A graveside service will follow at Washington Masonic Cemetery with Pastor David Taylor officiating.
