Sarah Ann "Sally" Havstad's Obituary
Sarah Havstad, 74, of Sperryville died Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at Fauquier Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born December 9, 1939 in Milwaukee, PA to the late Harold and Martha Gleason Ames.
Mrs. Havstad was a member of Sperryville Methodist Church, Rappahannock Garden Club, Rappahannock County Band Boosters “Fruit Queen”, and sewing and quilting groups. She was active in 4H, Girl Scouts and enjoyed singing in the church choir.
She is survived by her husband, Harald Havstad; three children, Sharon Katzenstein and her husband, Richard of Stillwater, NJ, Rory Sicovitch of PA and Dawn Gasteazoro and her husband, Eduardo of Amissville; one brother, Brett Ames; grandchildren, Keely Katzenstein, Ryan Sicovitch, Alex and Francesca Gasteazoro; and one great grandchild, James Sicovitch.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Leslie Ames
The family will receive friends on Friday, June 20, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2014 at 11 am at Sperryville Methodist Church, 3731 Sperryville Pike, Sperryville, VA 22740.
Interment will follow in the Family Cemetery.
