Sara Frances White's Obituary
Sara Frances White, 76, of Rixeyville passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was born December 6, 1943 in Culpeper to the late Samuel and Mary Frances Lee.
She is survived by six children, Pamela Francetta White (Tyrone Chase), Melvin Douglas White, Jr. (Sherry), Audrey Lee White, Michele Monique Shanks (Calvin), Eric Alan White (Tisha), and James Woodson; three brothers, Samuel Lee, Jr., George William Lee (Betty), and Clarence Hunter (Sheila); and 14 grandchildren, Brittany (David Gonzalez), Taylor, Melody, Dominique, Kahayla, Chasity, Casey, Alesha, Justin, Erinn, Shemeika, Tameika, James, Jr. and Tyisha.
Additional survivors include 6 great grandchildren, Zion, Laylani, Sydney, Denim, Jiovonni, and Jayden; brothers-in-law, Phillip Lloyd White (Inez) and Robert White (Sharon), sisters-in-law, Marian Washington Audrey White and Dorothy Simpson; best friends, Grace Clark, Marian Washington, Alberta Paige, and Betty Dean; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Douglas White, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Sylvia Lee, and Phyllis Gray; brothers-in-law, Raymond White, Ted Gray, Eugene Washington; and nephew, Larry.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at 12 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA with Pastor Pitts officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Due to COVID-19 mandates, masks are now required in our building.
