Sandra Allan's Obituary
Sandra "Sandy" Allan, 69, of Chesterfield, died Friday, August 24, 2018 at her residence.
Prior to moving to Chesterfield, Sandy was a longtime resident of Fredericksburg.
Sandy is survived by her daughter, Lori Valliancourt, and her husband Michael; two sons, Greg Allan, and his wife Brittany, and Timothy Allan, and his wife Stephanie; four grandaughters, Sydney and Brooke Valliancourt, and Harper and Evelyn Allan; a grandson, Dean Clift; two sisters, Kathy Giani and Gail Cella; and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving extended family.
Sandy was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Allan; her parents, Garrett and Betty MacEwan; a sister, Lynn Huber; and a brother, Garrett MacEwan Jr. Sandy was born in Mineola, N.Y. and graduated from Carle Place High School. Shortly after marrying her true love "Rick" and starting a family, they relocated from Long Island to Virginia where Sandy enjoyed a career in accounting.
She was a devoted mother to her children and a loving grandmother "Nana" to her grandchildren. She also very much enjoyed boating, traveling, and spending time with her friends.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, where a memorial service will begin at 7:00 p.m.
Sandy will be laid to rest with her husband at Quantico National Cemetery in a private ceremony. Condolences may be shared with her family online at foundandsons.com.
