Sallie Virginia Green's Obituary
Sallie V. Green, 75, of Spotsylvania County, reunited with her husband in heaven on Saturday, February 17, 2018.
She had a long career in local restaurants and formed strong bonds with coworkers who affectionately called her “Mom”.
Sallie is survived by her children, Virginia Lee Honan (Rick), Wanda Sue Green, Brenda Lou McLeod, Dale Lynn Green, and Galen Lee Green; eight grandchildren, Shane Honan, John Gaines, Scott Peppel, Joshua Kurelko, Ashleigh Blackstone, Sean Green, Shelby Green, and Amber Green; ten great-grandchildren, Lucas Honan, Sarah Honan, Tyler Foley, Dakota Peppel, Finn Peppel, Amaya Blackstone, M.J. Reynolds, Maliyah Reynolds, Blake Green, and Miranda “Rae Rae” Edwards; and her siblings, Nancy Morgan (Carl Axline), Jane Dunbar (Jack), Troy “Junior” Moore (Pam), Frances Rogers, Glenn Moore (Lydia), Franklin Moore (Carolyn), and Jesse Moore (Terri).
She is preceded in death by her husband, Garland B. Green; her parents, Troy and Marie Moore; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, David and Lela Green; and her sisters, Martha Miles and Alice Griffin.
Pallbearers named are, Dale Green, Galen Green, Sean Green, Webster Green, Jesse Moore, and Joshua Louk; and honorary pallbearers are, Blake Green and Miranda Edwards.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Found and Sons Funeral Chapels, 10719 Courthouse Road, Fredericksburg, where a funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2018. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 26, 2018 in Stonewall Memory Gardens.
