Ruth Hertha Streeff's Obituary
Ruth “Ruthie” Hertha Frieda Winkler Streeff, 84 beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother, went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 31, 2014.
She was a resident of the Madonna House in Fredericksburg, VA, where she was a great friend and avid card player.
Ruth was preceded in death by Raymond Streeff, her husband of 49 years.
She is survived by her sister, Margret Cubbon; her four children, Rick Streeff, Ronnie Streeff, Rachel Rouleau, and Renata Streeff-Kula; along with nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who called her “GG”.
In Ruth’s younger years she was a long time Cub Scout leader and a recipient of the Silver Fawn. Ruth was a founding member of the Manassas Park school system and a pillar in the community. She volunteered in various charitable organizations and was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church.
Ruth was a loving, generous, caring, and strong woman that will be greatly missed; but will forever remain in our hearts.
A service will be held Monday, November 24, 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at Madonna House, 2600 Cowan Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA.
