Ruth E. Geil's Obituary
Ruth Earle Geil, 82, of Culpeper went to be with her Lord on Saturday, January 18, 2014. She was born April 12, 1931 in Rappahannock County to the late James Benjamin and Lucy Kennedy Jenkins.
Ruth was a member of Culpeper Baptist Church. She worked for Rental Uniform Service for 32 years and enjoyed gardening, cooking, dancing, listening to music and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by two daughters, Janet Burton and her husband, Steve of Calverton, VA, and Kay Kinzer and her husband, Robert of Culpeper; and four siblings, Sarah Smoot of Culpeper, Lois Short of Culpeper, Mary Early and her husband, Richard of Culpeper and Jane Elkins of Fredericksburg.
Additional survivors include her four grandchildren, Christopher Geil of Harrisonburg, Jennifer Burton of Calverton, Amy Myers and her husband, Josh of Sumerduck and Emily Kinzer of Culpeper; and one great grandson, Jayden Myers of Sumerduck.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three siblings, Benjamin Jenkins, Virginia Jenkins and Jessie Jarrell.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 6 to 8 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel, 850 Sperryville Pike, Culpeper, VA.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 1 pm at Found and Sons Funeral Chapel with Pastor Dave Williamson officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Memory Gardens.
